VYOMS is an ambitious initiative by the Vyom Network. Vyom is an ISO
9001:2000 Certified IT Company. It is one of the few IT Companies in India to get ISO Certification within 8 months of their existence. Vyom has its presence since 2001, with its first
website - www.vyomworld.com. Since then,
hundreds of millions of users have come to our sites, admired us, corrected us
and supported us.
In the first half of 2002, we started a Jobs section in VyomWorld.com. It was
an instant hit. So, we opened another website exclusively for Jobs - JobsAssist.com.
This site is still functional, but it was still not prepared for handling the
enormous amount of traffic that we normally receive. So, we prepared a clone for
JobsAssist.com. The purpose of having that clone was load balancing. This still
works fine, except for some minor synchronization issues. A dedicated team at
Vyom works on JobsAssist.com, and we plan to upgrade it in Q2 2006.
In the meantime, a large amount of users started posting Jobs on
DiscussionsWorld.com. Being a forum, it makes tremendous calls to the database,
and hence, the performance used to degrade after 400 concurrent users on the
website. As we started facing these issues, we got a server in New Delhi, where
we decided to host our latest website - VYOMS.
