Printing Technology All other programmed are offered only at the Main Campus of the University. DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME: The duration of the Programmed is 3 1/2 Academic years comprising 7 semesters.
Candidates seeking admission should satisfy the admission authorities that they will be in a position to attend the classes in the evening sand also on holidays and fulfill the requirements regarding attendance as laid down by the University from time to time. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION: a) Qualification: Candidates should have passed the Diploma examination in Engineering/Technology in the relevant branch of specialization conducted by the State Board of Technical Education, TamilNadu or another equivalent examination recognized by Anna University.
b) Year of Qualifying for Diploma: Candidates who have passed the diploma examination in the relevant branch of specialization at least two years before the last date prescribed for submission of application.
c) Place of work: Candidates should be working in a place within a distance of 90 km from the University so as to enable him/her to attend the classes regularly by 6.15 pm and the place of working should be in TamilNadu.
Candidates obtained Diploma in the area other than mentioned above will be considered if that Diploma is recognized equivalent to the respective field of study by the Director (Academic Courses), Anna University Chennai.
Marks for Qualifying Examination: Weight age for the qualifying examination � 75 Marks shall be calculated as follows: 1) In the case of Full Time Diploma course, the total marks obtained in the 5th (Pre-Final) and 6th (Final) semesters put together will betaken.
2) In the case of Part-Time Diploma Course, the total marks secured in the last three semesters examinations put together will be taken.
3) In the case of Sandwich Diploma Courses (Full � Time), total marks secured in the last two semesters put together shall be considered, However, if the Industrial Training Intervenes in any one of the last two semesters then, the marks of the previous semester in which there is no Industrial Training shall be considered.
Marks for work Experience: The 25 marks for work experience after passing the diploma examinations shall be calculated as follows: a) For every completed year of Services : 2 marks b) For every completed year without Service : 1 mark
Experience Certificate issued by other than Government/Quasi Government Department should be accompanied with the following: 1. Employment / Sponsorship Certificate. 2. Certificate of Registration under companies Act/SSI Registration Certificate. 3. TNGST Certificate / CST Certificate / TIN Certificate. 4. Government approved Contractors Registration Certificate (current) with IT clearance certificate for private individuals other than companies. Work experience will be taken into account only if the Registration /Certificate Number of the companies are clearly mentioned in the work experience certificate.
Selection Procedure: The merit list will be prepared based on the total marks of 100 (marks obtained in the qualifying marks will be reduced to 75 marks and marks for work experience will be a maximum of 25 marks). In cases where more than one candidates got the same mark in the common merit list, inter-se merit among such candidate shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below:
1. Total years of experience. 2. Marks obtained in the Qualifying Diploma Examination (Pre and final semesters.) 3. Date of Birth (Senior will be placed above). Counseling will be done based on the merit and communal reservation. Merit list will be published in Anna University Website. Candidates will be informed their rank and also the date of counseling individually through the counseling call letter by ordinary post (Self addressed stamped envelope should be enclosed by the candidate).College and branch will be allotted only through counseling as pertheir rank following communal reservations. Application will not be received or entertained after the due date. Applications not in order will not be entertained. The following original documents are to be produced at the time of counseling for admission, if called for. i) First page of S.S.L.C./10th Standard or Matriculation Mark Sheet or its equivalent certificate. ii) Mark Sheets of all semesters. iii) Diploma Certificate / Provisional Certificate iv) Certificate (s) of practical experience. v) Permanent Community Certificate Card (other than OC Candidates). vi) Conduct certificates (I) from the Head of the Educational Institution last attended and (ii) from the employer or responsible Officer of the Govt. or any responsible public person. vii) Transfer certificate from the Educational Institution last attended.
