Objective:

Basis of inventory valuation and recordkeeping.
5. Depreciationaccounting
Methods, computation andaccounting treatment of depreciation, Change in depreciationmethods.
6. Preparation of Final Accounts for SoleProprietors
7. Accounting for SpecialTransactions
8. PartnershipAccounts
Finalaccounts of partnershipfirms - Basic concepts of admission, retirementand death of a partnerincluding treatment of good will.
9. Introduction to CompanyAccounts
Issue of shares and debentures,forfeiture of shares, re-issue of forfeited shares, redemption ofpreference shares.
Section B: Mercantile Law ( 40 Marks)
To test the general comprehension ofelements of mercantile law
