The Institute selects students for the Undergraduate Programsthroughthe All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).Selections forthe Postgraduate Programmes are based on an all Indiaentranceexamination conducted by IIIT in several major cities in thecountry inMay and the application deadline is in February/March.Applications forthe research programmes are considered round theyear.

InternationalInstitute of Information Technology Post Graduate Entrance Examination- IIIT PGEE 2009

Admission intoM.Tech., M.S. & PhD programsisvery flexible at IIIT. A student with an Engineering or Sciencedegreein any field/area can seek admission into any other field/areaforhigher studies.

For instance, acandidate who has completed B.Tech.in Electronics/Electrical/CivilEngineering can apply forM.Tech./M.S./Ph.D in Computer Science, VLSI& Embedded Systems,andBioinformatics.

IIIT Post GraduateEntrance Examination (IIIT PGEE 2009):

An all-India examination to test the preparedness ofthe applicants will be held on 15th February,2009.

Theexamination will be held at Hyderabad and a number of major citiesinthe country depending on the number of applicants from each region.Theentrance examination will consist of two papers. Paper I testthegeneral aptitude of the candidate and will consist ofobjectivequestions from Mathematics, Programming, and LogicalReasoning. PaperII is the Subject Paper, which tests the candidate'ssubject knowledge.
