1. Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admissionto Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Course in Kerala in the AICTEapproved institutions for the academic year 2008-09.
2. Qualifications: (a) Nativity: Candidate should be an Indian National. b) Academic: A pass in anyrecognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum three years duration in anydiscipline with Mathematics at 10+2 level, OR a pass in any recognizedregular Bachelor's Degree of minimum three years duration in anydiscipline with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects, OR Apass in BCA Degree of minimum three years duration from a recognizedUniversity. Note: Candidates who are appearing/ have appeared for the qualifying examination this year are alsoeligible to apply for the Entrance Examination subject to the conditionthat the original mark list of all parts the qualifying examinationshall be produced by the candidate at the time of allotment. 3. Reservation of Seats: (a) Reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PWD):3% percent seats in every Government and Aided Colleges are reservedfor persons with disabilities and Orthopaedically Handicappedcandidates. (b) Mandatory reservation: Seats are reserved forScheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Socially and EducationallyBackward Classes as per the existing reservation principles of theGovernment. 4. Entrance Examination: The Entrance Examination will be conducted at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode on 20.07.2008 (Sunday).It will be of 2 hours duration and will consist of 150 Objective TypeQuestions covering the following areas of study at graduate level. (a) Mathematics (b) Statistics (c) Physics (d) Chemistry (e) General Knowledge (f) General English and (g) Fundamentals of Computer Awareness 5. Application Form: Prospectus and application form will be available in the official website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at "cee-kerala.org".There will be separate application for SC/ST and general candidates.Candidates seeking admission to this course can apply in the prescribedformat , after downloading the same from the website , along withnecessary documents and a Demand Draft ( Rs.800/- for generalcandidates and RS.400/- for SC/ST candidates and those eligible forSC/ST benefits) drawn on a Nationalized Bank, in favour of TheCommissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. 6.Belated, incomplete and defective applications willbe summarily rejected and no correspondence will be undertaken in thisregard. 7. Institutional Allotment: TheInstitutional allotment will be made by Commissioner for EntranceExaminations in accordance with the rank obtained by the candidates inthe Entrance Examination and the order of preference of Institutionsgiven by the candidates at the time of Centralized Allotment.Candidates need not submit their preference for Institutions in theapplication form. 8. Candidates will neither be allowed to include anyinformation in the application form nor to submit any certificates /documents claiming reservation or any benefits, after the submission ofthe application, under any circumstances. 9. Candidates must note that they have to obtainthe required certificates in the body of the application form itself,wherever specified. The certificates that are attached separately inthe application form will not be considered under any circumstances. 10. Applicants must go through the variousprovisions related to Entrance Examination , course eligibility,distribution of seats, reservation etc given in Prospectus 2008,approved by the Government and available in the official website ofCommissioner for Entrance Examinations at cee-kerala.org, before submitting the application form.
