Paper-I(ObjectiveType)
GeneralIntelligence:The Syllabus for General Intelligence wouldincludequestions of bothverbal type. The test may include questionsonanalogies, similarities,differences, space visualization,problemsolving, analysis, judgement,decision making, visualmemory,discrimination, observation,relationship concepts,arithmeticalreasoning, verbal and figureclassification, arithmeticalnumber seriesetc. The test will alsoinclude questions designed to testthecandidate�s abilities to dealwith abstract ideas and symbols andtheirrelationships, arithmeticalcomputations and otheranalyticalfunctions.
GeneralAwareness:Questions inGeneral Awareness component willbe aimed at testing thecandidate�sGeneral Awareness of the environmentaround him and itsapplication tosociety. Questions will also bedesigned to testknowledge of currentevents and of such matters ofeveryday observationand experience intheir scientific aspect as may beexpected ofaneducatedperson.
The test will also includequestions pertainingtoHistory, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene,General Polity,IndianConstitution, Sports, Literature, ScientificResearch, Basics/fundamentals of Computer, etc. These questions will besuch thattheydo not require a special study ofanydiscipline.
English Language&Comprehension :Questions in this component willbedesigned to test the candidate�sunderstanding and knowledge ofEnglishLanguage and will be based onerror recognition, fill in theblanks(using verbs, preposition,articles etc), Vocabulary,Spellings,Grammar, Sentence Structure,Synonyms, Antonyms, SentenceCompletion,Phrases and Idiomatic use ofWords, etc. There will be aquestion onpassages and comprehension ofpassages also. The standard ofthequestions will be only of 10+2level
