Braves Technologies has a immediate requirement for a SQL SERVER DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (SQL DBA). Eligible candidates will be sponsored H1B VISA.

Job Description:

Candidates should have the ability to perform all common Database Administration (DBA) tasks like performing database backups and recovery, managing database users and security, Database Server Administration etc

Ability to perform Database and Index designing and tuning
Ability to do Performance Tuning and Query Optimization. Understanding of Query Execution Plans
Ability to export and import data from/to various formats like delimited raw/text file, MS-Excel, XML, SQL Server, MS-Access. Ability to transfer data between various databases
Ability to write complex and lengthy T- SQL queries and scripts
Ability to perform XML tasks using SQL Server's XML features
Troubleshooting various database issues and T- SQL queries
Ability to deliver and perform under pressure and on time
Experience & Technical Skill Set Requirement
Experience as SQL Server Database Administrator
Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2005
SQL Server 2005 Database Server and Database Administration
Working knowledge of SQL Server 2005 tools like SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Profiler, SQL Server Agent, SQL Server Surface Area Configuration, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, BCP and Bulk Load
Strong knowledge in T- SQL programming, Stored Procedures, Triggers, User-Defined Functions, Cursors, Views etc
Various XML features in SQL Server 2005 including knowledge of XPath and XQuery
SQL Server Integration Services
Knowledge of SQL CLR, Service Broker and other new features in SQL Server 2005, SQL Server Reporting Services will be a plus point
Knowledge of Operating Systems like MS Windows 2003 Server and Windows XP Professional
