Job Description
� Create, modify and review stored procedures,
and SQL Scripts, database functions, and triggers
� Take ownership of identification and implementation of performance and
maintenance improvements for the current
database
design and application
interactions.
� Constantly seeking ways to re-factor code by tuning and optimizing queries
� Work with Programmer Analysts and Business Analysts to gather requirements
and implement changes to the databases as required
� Work with QA team to help create test cases
� Create new strategies and processes to help with the deployment and
maintenance of databases
� Expert knowledge and extensive experience with building, administering,
and maintaining Microsoft SQL, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005,
and SQL Server internals
� Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience
� Technically fluent in database programming languages, including SQL and
PL/SQL
Desired Candidate Profile
� Strong academic background in Engineering or
related field
� Aptitude to learn and work on large scale solutions
� Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
