Provide support of existing applications including troubleshooting, bug fixes, and enhancements of existing applications. Create, modify or enhance data extracts in an Oracle environment Develop/Enhance PL/SQL stored procedures/functions and packages Performance tune queries, packages, procedures and functions Work with project managers/leads to understand requirements and design Provide Quality Assurance for self and others Problem determination and resolution (system bugs, data issues and corrections) Create jobs and schedules using Unix scripts and scheduling softwares Create data extracts Position Skills/Requirements: Minimum 5 years of IT experience with PL/SQL programming. Strong analytical skills and SQL/PL-SQL skills Development experience with Unix shell scripting is desirable Ability to create data extracts based upon adhoc requests Expertise coding optimized SQL queries, PL/SQL Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Database Triggers, tuning queries using Explain Plan, SQL Trace, TK-Prof, and a version control system. Experience with the XML package, data import/export and working with multiple db links are good to have. Ability to understand complex database structures. Strong problem solving capabilities and results oriented with the ability to multi-task. Testing/Debugging ability to generate and execute test scripts. Excellent oral and written communication. Confident communicator; comfortable communicating with all levels within the organization including on-shore team members.
