US H1B OPPORTUNITY FOR UNIX ADMINISTRATION

* Unix/Linux Systems Administration (Red Hat Linux, SSH, SFTP, DNS, Solaris and Postfix)

* Installation, deployment, support and maintenance of Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD, and Iron Port based hardware and operating environments.

* Solid understanding of networking, and standard network applications (i.e. TCP/IP, ICMP, TraceRoute, TCPdump, LAN routing, etc.).

* Diagnose, solve and provide root cause analysis for hardware and O/S issues.

* Maintain/troubleshoot Postfix, DNS, Iron Port, SMTP and custom application issues.

* Provide escalated support

* The Sr. Unix Sys Admin will be responsible for installing, configuring, supporting, and maintaining UNIX system and application software on multiple platforms.

* One will Maintain patch levels (PTF)**s utilizing current Best Practices, develop and maintain system support procedures and documentation, provide project leadership for the planning and execution of major department projects, and provide guidance and advice to developers and users concerning system capabilities, software, hardware, and procedures.

* One will monitor system performance and capacity, and recommend hardware, software, and procedural changes needed to handle forecasted growth and analyze and solve conceptual and complex problems/situations of a global nature.

Over 6 years of experience as UNIX (SUN Solaris, HP-UX, Linux, AIX) and Windows NT System Administrator.
Expertise in administering servers and users spread across multiple sites and Cluster environment. Network Administration with NIS, NIS+, NFS, DNS, SSH. Extensive experience with SUN Solstice Disk suite, SAM, Veritas File manager, Legato backup, RAID. Unix Shell/Perl scripting.

Big Plus: Extensive experience in Application Servers such as WebSphere, WebLogic, iPlanet . Strong skills in Web Administration - Apache, Netscape Web Server, HTTP Server, I-Planet Web Server and IIS. MQ Series, Tivoli TEC. Oracle DBA Skills.

Nice to have: Extensive experience with Networking and communication devices Cisco Routers, Switches, VLAN, Netscreen100 firewall. Knowledge and experience of SAN, NAS EMC. Bachelor's/Masters degree, with strong related business experience. Excellent communication skills.
