Infosys Technologies Limited, the Software Major said thatthe 18,000 students to whom the have made the offer, from variousEngineering colleges across the country would join the company in July2009.
The company predicts there were very few layoffs in ITcompanies but the situation would become worse if the recession lastedfor a longer period and they hope, this bad period will be over by 2010and in the worst case by 2014.
The Indian currency is depreciating continuously since last year whichis good for these companies. Last year the IT Industry grew by 33 % andthis year NASSCOM has predicted the IT growth to be 10-15%.
