Date of entrance examination: 01st June, 2012, Friday, 10.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
Expected date of declaration of result: 15th July, 2012
AIIMS 2012 MBBS ADMISSION ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility Criteria
Indian Nationals (Common to AIIMS New Delhi/Six AIIMS like Institutions)
Age: He/She should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on the 31st December, of the year of admission
Candidates born on or after 2nd January, 1996 are not eligible to apply
Essential qualification: He/She should have passed the 12th class under the 10+2 scheme/senior School Certificate Examination or Intermediate Science (ISc) or an equivalent examination of a recognised University/Board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
Minimum Aggregate: He/She should have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in the case ofGeneral/OBC and 50% in case of SC/ST candidates in aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
All those candidates who have appeared or are appearing at the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subject and expect to pass the examination with required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply and appear in the Competitive Entrance Examination
However, their candidature will be considered only if they provide documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks on or before the date stipulated for this

The result will be displayed on the notice board of examination section, AIIMS New Delhi and at all the six new AIIMS sites and will also be available on the internet at www.aiims.ac.in, www.aiims.edu, www.aiimsexams.org, www.mohfw.nic.in result of individual candidates will not be informed on telephone
Application Fee: General/OBC category Rs 1000/- (SC/ST category Rs 800/-) plus transaction charges as applicable
Payment through computer generated challan form in any branch of State Bank of India
The candidate is advised to read the prospectus and Help Manual before starting online registration and ensure that no column is left blank
In the event of rejection of the application form, no correspondence/request for re-consideration, will be entertained
It may please be noted by applicants that in case of incomplete application, not supported by challan payment; the application will be rejected without any intimation
Please save and download a print of the registration slip and retain the copy of registration slip till the completion of admission process
Under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana Six New All India Institutes of Medical Sciences are being established similar to AIIMS, New Delhi
Govt of India has decided that the academic session in six New AIIMS at Bhopal, Patna, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Raipur and Bhubaneswar starts in August 2012
The proposal is for an intake of 50 students for each of the institutions
The Ministry after deliberation took the view that for the first academic session (2012-2013), selection for admission should be done through the same entrance examination through which candidates are selected for AIIMS New Delhi
The counselling and admission in six New AIIMS will be done by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India
AIIMS NEW DELHI: Each year 77 (seventy seven) seats are available for admission to the graduate medical course, leading to the award of the degree of MBBS by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi; out of these, 11 (eleven) seats are reserved for the SC, 5 (five) seats are reserved for the ST, 19 (nineteen) seats are reserved for OBC and 5 (five) seats are reserved for the Foreign Nationals nominated by the Govt of India and 37 (thirty seven) seats for General Category
Duration of course (Common to AIIMS New Delhi/Six AIIMS like Institutions): The course of studies leading to the award of degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences shall last for a minimum of 5� academic years including one year's compulsory internship
