Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Test (MP PET) is for admission to Bachelor in Engineering (B.E.) course in several technical institutes in Madhya Pradesh. Every year many students across Madhya Pradesh appear for Madhya Pradesh PET to get admission in the best engineering institutes in the state .Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test (MP PET 2012) is conducted by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board. Approx 159 institutes in Madhya Pradesh accept Madhya Pradesh PET score card for admission in Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) courses. 90% seats in the Government/ Aided colleges are reserved for Madhya Pradesh candidates, 5% for Outside MP candidates and 5% for NRIs. In Private institutes 75% of seats are reserved for MP candidates, 20% seats for outside MP candidates and 5% seats for NRI candidates.

Structure of MP PET
The examination is of multiple choice objective modes with 180 minutes duration. It consists of three papers and covers the syllabus under higher secondary.
Physics-300 marks
Chemistry-300 marks
Mathematics-300 marks
There will be will be negative marking for the wrong response
MP-PET 2012 Eligibility Criteria
* Students should pass in 10+2 scheme of MP Board of Secondary Education or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English securing 55% marks in aggregate.
* Compartmental candidates are not considered.
* Candidates who have appeared in the final year exam are also eligible.
* Age of Candidates must be not more than 21 years on October 1 of the year of admission.
MP-PET 2012 Exam Pattern
* It consists of objective type multiple choice questions in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (300 marks each).
* Medium of the exam is English.
* There is no negative marking in this test.
Application Procedure
* Applicants can purchase the admission form and information booklet from the office of Professional examination Board and offices of participating institutes by making payment in cash.
* Candidates can also receive the application and prospectus by post by sending the request letter and self address envelope (with required postal stamps) along with demand draft for application to the exam conducting body.
* Candidates can send in the completely filled application along with DD and other documents at the address mentioned in the prospectus.
Fees Details
Candidates will submit the application form only online either through "http://www.vyapam.nic.in" or "http://www.mponline.gov.in" on payment of fee Rs. 600/-(300/- for SC/ST) along with additional Rs.50/- (online service charges), by credit card or cash payment.

Application Forms:
* Through Website: IMU-CET (MBA) application forms can be downloaded from the website www.imu.tn.nic.in and/or from www.imusmm.com. Filled in application form must be sent to "Admission Coordinator- MBA, Academic Section, Indian Maritime University, East Coast Road, Uthandi, Chennai- 600119" accompanied with a fee of Rs 1000/-(Rs 500/- for SC/ST/DA candidates) can be remitted using challan (SBI / Indian Bank / Axix Bank) with necessary documents. Note that IMU-CET (MBA) score will be valid only for the admission to courses during the Academic Year 2012-13.
Eligibility:
The candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA {45% in case candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) categories}, awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India. Candidates appearing for the final year of the bachelor's degree/ equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirement and are awaiting results can also apply. Prospective candidates must maintain a valid email account throughout the selection process.
