Punjab Gramin Bank(PGB) is a Region Rural Bank (RRB) sponsored by Punjab National Bank. Formed in 2005, PGB now operates in 13 Districts of State of Punjab with its 180 Branches. Punjab Gramin Bank Invites Applications for the Recruitment of  Officers & Assistants as part of its Recruitment process in 2012.

Eligibility Criteria

Age and Educational Qualifications (As on Apr 10, 2012),

    * Officer MMGS-III (Age to be below 40 years):-
          o Degree ( in any discipline ) with minimum 50% marks and at least 5 Years Experience as an officer in any Bank or Financial Institution.
    * Officer MMGS-II (Total 25 Posts in Various Profiles - Experience Required) :-
          o Age should be 21 - 32 years. Experience is required for each post. see Advertisement for more details.
    * Officer JMGS-I - (18 years - 28 years)( No Experience required).
          o Bachelor Degree in any discipline (No Percentage Requirement mentioned).
          o Proficiency in Local (Punjabi) language is Required and Must have passed Punjabi as a subject in any of qualifying exam.
          o Computer knowledge is to be considered an added qualification.
    * Office Assistants (18 years - 28 years)( No Experience required).
          o Candidate should be a domicile of Punjab State to Apply for Office Assistants posts.
          o Bachelor Degree in any discipline.
          o Proficiency in Punjabi language is Required.
          o Computer knowledge will be considered a Plus Qualification.
    * Maximum Age Limit is Relaxed by 3yrs - OBC, 5 yrs - SC/ST, 10 Yrs - PWD.

 
Selection Procedure

Selection process will have written test and interview. The pattern of written test will be as Below:

3For POST CODE � 1 and 2[Officers Scale- III and Officers Scale- II]: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation, Financial Awareness and any one of General english/General Hindi. Each Section will have 50 questions and a total time of 150 mins for 200 questions.

3For POST CODE � 2 , 3 [Officers Scale -I and Office Assistants]: Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Awareness and General English/Hindi. Each part having 50 questions and a total time of 150 mins for 200 questions

Note:-

1Negative marking will be deducted for wrong answers.

1The candidates securing minimum 40% marks(35% for SC/ST) in the written test will be Qualified. However, Bank may call only certain number of Qualified candidates for interviews based upon number of Vacancies.

1On selection, All officers will be on probation period for Two years and Assistants will be on probation for one year.

Application Procedure

The fees for This Application is Rs.100(SC/ST/PWD/EXS) for Each Post and Rs. 500 for others.

Payment to be made at any Branch of Punjab Gramin Bank or Punjab National Bank by This Payment challan (There are two challans one for PNB and one for PGB). Make sure that transaction details are clearly mentioned in the Challan after payment.

This challan has to be brought in written test along with passport size photo, call letter and a Photo ID Proof.

Applications then to be made online by entering the necessary details correctly and uploading their Photograph and Signature. Note down the registration number and password after application and Take two print-outs of application form for future use.
