Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), Dehradun has announced the exam dates for UTU CLAT (Uttarakhand Technical University Common Law Admission Test) 2012 which will be conducted in the month of May. UTU CLAT 2012 will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2012.
UTU-The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India entrance examination conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun for admissions to their UG and PG programmes - BA.LL.B, BBA.LL.B.(5 years) LL.B (3 years) & LL.M (2years). The list of participating Colleges as follows: Siddhartha Law College, Dehradun, Shakuntala Law College, Dehradun and Selaqui Law College, Dehradun.
UTU CLAT 2012 Eligibility Criteria
* For BA.LL.B., BBA.LL.B (5 Years Program): Candidate should have obtained a Senior Secondary School/Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized board with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST). Candidates who have appeared in the 10+2 examination and are awaiting Results are also eligible to appear in the test.
* For LL.B. Program (3 years): To be eligible for appearing in UTU-CLAT-2012, a candidate should have obtained a Graduate Degree from a recognized University with not less than 45% marks in aggregate for General Category (40% in case of SC/ST). Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying degree examination and are awaiting Results are also eligible to appear in the test.
* For LL.M. Program: Candidate should have obtained a LL.B/B.L. Degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized University with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST). Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying degree examination and are awaiting Results are also eligible to appear in the test.

Application Procedure for UTU CLAT 2012
* Candidates can download the application form from UTU's website www.uktech.ac.inor www.uktech.ac.in/law/pdf/forms/utu_clat_2012.pdf
* Candidates can also apply online by visiting and following the instructions given at www.uktech.ac.in/law
* Duly filled application form along with necessary documents as mentioned in the application form to The Convener, CLAT-2012 either in person or through registered post to Registrar UTU, Govt. Girls Polytechnic, Chandanwari, Siddhowwala, Prem Nagar, Dehradun - 248007 so as to reach on or before May 05, 2012.
* Candidates applying on downloaded application forms must enclose Demand Draft of Rs.1500/- (For general candidates) and Rs.1000/- (For SC/ST candidates) in favor of "Finance Controller UTU" payable at Dehradun.
