TAG was founded in 1984 by John McEwan, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy who holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. After serving our country as a U.S. naval officer, which included an assignment with the Joint Chiefs of Staff, John formed TAG. John McEwan adopted the TAG ball, a schematic representation of forward thinking and innovation, as the symbol for TAG. It acts as a constant reminder that even the smallest of ideas can have a huge impact. Since our humble beginnings as IT innovators, TAG has been at the forefront of developing IT solutions for specific military requirements. TAG workstations were first put into service for the Naval Research Laboratory as well as the US Navy, who continues to be our largest customer.
TAGs executive management team is headed by James S. McEwan, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TAG, Inc.
