How to make a setup of a window application? When we make a project then we do not want to share our source code with other world. This is for security point of view. For this we make a exe(Executable file) which is called as Setup. Here in this article I am going to show the process of making Setup.

 

Step 1: Firstly create an application for which you want to make a Setup.

 

Step 2: Click on File-> Add-> New Project.

By clicking here the window will open like as:

 



Step 3: Select here Setup and Deployement, in this category we have to select setup Project, now click on OK.




Here we find three option named as:

    Application Folder
    User's Desktop
    User's Programme Menu

Step 4: These three option are the three places where our final setup will store. From here we have to select one option. Suppose I select User's Desktop. Then Right click on User's Desktop option and select  Add-> Project Output. The window will look like as.





Step 5: After clicking on Project Output, a new window will open. Here we select first four option. Now click on OK.




Step 6: After clicking on OK, Rebuild the Setup from Build option in Menu bar like as.



Step 7: After this go in Solution Explorer there we find a Setup option, right click here and install the setup like as.

 


The setup will install like as.



Step 8: After copmpleting the installation go on desktop there you will found a exe file, click on that and you see that your application become run. Here if you delete your application source code then there is no effect on setup. It will execute.
