Daulat Ram College, a premier college for women is a constituent college of the University of Delhi, founded in 1960. Originally known as ?Pramila College' it was renamed Daulat Ram College after the founder educationist Shri Daulat Ram Gupta, when the college shifted to its present location on Patel Marg in the North Campus of University of Delhi in the year 1964. It is a prestigious women's college of the University of Delhi with a track record of distinction in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. With an enrolment of over 2000 students, it has nineteen departments engaged in offering undergraduate courses of the University of Delhi in Arts, Sciences and Commerce. Seven of these Departments register students at the Master's level for tutorial classes which supplement the M.A. lecture classes held at the University of Delhi. The faculty is highly qualified and experienced, a majority of them with doctoral qualifications and some of them guiding students at the post graduate and doctoral levels.
