Thiru Kolanjiappar Government Arts College, Vriddhachalam established in the year 1966 as a Pre-Univerisity College at the Boys High School building in the municipal town Vriddhachalam, Cuddalore District, Tamilnadu. The vast area of more than 42 acres of land housing the permanent buildings of the College was donated by the authorities of Sri Vriddhagireeswarar Temple. The Tamilnadu Government has converted them into Regular Courses from 2006-07. This College now offers nine courses in the U.G. level and three courses in the P.G. level besides M.Phil and Ph.D as part time as well as full time in Tamil literature. NAAC has accredited the college at the B+ Level (77.50%) on May 20, 2005.
