The origin of Dronacharya Government College, Gurgaon can be traced back to Hindu College Gujranwala (Pakistan). After the partition in the year 1947, it was re-established at its present location at Gurgaon in May 1951 and was rechristened as Dronacharya Sanatan Dharma College. Presently located in the heart of the city between old Railway Road and New Railway Road which serves as two arteries of the city. Dronacharya Govt. College has been brightening the future of students by providing the excellent teaching, great academic atmosphere and inculcating high virtues of life for the last Fifty Five Years. Due to these reasons the college has been accorded B+ grade by the NAAC team (Translation Version from Annual Report About B+Grade). It has been the endeavor of the college to impart the spirit of discipline, hard work, cooperation and higher ethical standard in the lives of its students. To meet the needs of changing world economy, the college has introduced BBA course soft skills and Edu. Set, and is in the process of introducing BCA, PGDCA, BTEM, Functional English courses.
