Govt. Brennen College was established in 1862. Brennen Collegeis one of the oldest educational institutions in Kerala affiliated to Kannur University. Located in Dharmadam, Thalassery in Kannur District of Kerala state, India. The Brennen College evolved from a school established by the English philanthropist, Edward Brennen, who had made Thalassery his home. The college is recognized as a center of excellence by the Govt. of Kerala. The University Grants Commission had included the college under 12B and 2F category. The College got NAAC accreditation with B++ grade in September 2004.
