The Govt. College of Engineering, Amravati, was established in the year 1964 by Govt. of maharastra. Along with three other Govt. Institutes at Pune, Aurangabad, karad. It was initially affiliated to Nagpur University which later on shifted to Amravati University in 1982. The college campus is spread over 105 acres of costlier land on Amravati walgaon road.
