The institution has a sprawling area extending upto 83 acres. Its distinctive feature and basic advantage is that it has a huge campus in an environment friendly atmosphere. The campus has magnificent buildings, a hostels, a botanical garden, sprawling play grounds, an indoor court, a gymnasium and vehicle parking sheds. Residential accommodation is provided for Professors, Assistant Professors and supporting staff. The campus has four hostels of which one of the hostels for women housed the Geology and Defence Studies departments till the year 2000. With the formation of the new state, it now houses the Directorate of Higher Education. The teacher?s hostel in the campus, previously occupied by the Additional Director?s office now houses the Directorate of Sports and Culture. The other three hostels accomodate only boys. Since 1987, the college has been conducting the annual examinations with transparency, efficiency and authenticity. The setting of question papers and the methodology is of a very high standard.
