ew G.D.C. is an exclusively girls college which imparts quality education at reasonable cost. The M.P. Government established this institution in 1963 as part of its Endeavour to provide higher education facilities for women belonging to all sections of society. The college initially imported education in arts faculty undergraduate courses. During the last 43 years of its existence, science, fine arts, home science and commerce faculties made their appearance at the undergraduate an post-graduate level. The Public participatin committee and local district administration have rename the institution as "Veerngana Maharani Laxmibai College" and state government approval is awaited for the same. The college can now boast of City Bus Facility, connecting it to all corners of this holy city of Devi Ahilya.
