About College
Established in 1965, the College of Education, Jalgaon is one of pioneer academic institutions run by Khandesh College Education Society. The College imparts Degree course in Bachelor of Education along with Yashwantrao Chavan Open University Study center and Maharashtra State Certificate Course in Information Technology (MS-CIT). The institute aims to provide creative and innovative teacher education that develops self directed and independent thinking among the teacher trainees. It aspires to be resource centre in teacher education, providing extension service and making teaching resources available to member schools. It also intends to provide educational consultancy services and establishing greater presence in academic circle and policy making body. It aims to enhance collaboration with other teacher education colleges. The aims of the college is visualized by conducting B.Ed course affiliated to North Maharashtra University, B.Ed. Vocational course and B.Ed. Sahayogi course from Yashvantrao Mukta Vidyapeet, Nasik and Women empowerment course of IGNO University.
