The college was started on 2nd October 1981. Located in a small village called Khajipalem in Bapatla Taluq, Guntur District, the KVR KVR & MKR College is now offering Three Intermediate courses, Four Bachelor Degree courses (Arts and Science) and Two Post Graduation courses (Science) in Telugu and English mediums. The college is now equipped with five multistoried buildings to facilitate its 900+ students. A two storied Library building beside a Grand Stage area is conveniently located in the middle of the classroom buildings, while the 5 acre Mini-Stadium is located in walkable distance.
