Maharajas College is an arts and science college located at Kochi, India.The college came into existence in 1875. In the last 132 years it has evolved into a fine institution of higher learning and is recognised as a centre of excellence. Recently it has got re-accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A grade.
Milestones in History
1875 - The Cochin Rajas Elementary school started by Cochin Sarkar is upgraded into a college. Mr. A.F. Sealy, M.A. took charge as the first Principal. It was Mr. Sealy who had designed the building and hence the name Sealy block. F.A. (First examination in Arts) course started.
