Mar Theophilus Training College owes its existence to the farsighted vision of the late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios of Trivandrum. It is one of the Malankara Catholic colleges established and administered by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Trivandrum, in accordance with the rights of the minority community guaranteed in the constitution of India. The college started functioning in 1956 as an affiliated College to the university of Kerala on the Bethany Hills. Later the management identified a new site for the college and a full fledged college was constructed with the required infrastructure facilities. The National Assessment & Accreditation council (NAAC) awarded the college with an �A� Grade for its excellence. The college is working towards re accreditation and has geared up for the post accreditation planning and implementation.
