Founded in 1952, Mar Thoma College is one of six institutions of higher learning administered by the Mar Thoma Church. The Church ventured into the field of higher education out of the firm conviction that it has a vital role to play in the task of molding the lives of young men and women, who should prove themselves worthy before men and God and equipping then to meet the stern challenges of life. From a small beginning with 250 students and 12 teachers, the college has grown into a premier educational institution with over 3000 students on the rolls and 140 members on the teaching staff today.
