This college was started in the year 1994 by the TAMILNADU EDUCATIONAL AND MEDICAL TRUST, a Jain Minority trust with the primary objective of providing higher education to the deserving Jain students. However others are also admitted without reference to caste, creed or religion, with their rights of conscience being respected. The founder Secretary and correspondent late Dr.C.L.Mehta laid a noble policy of "No Capitation Fee in any form " which is perhaps unique and unheard of in the field of Technical Education in the country and this policy has placed our institution in a high pedestal among other institutions.This college is situated at a distance of just 5 Kms. from the city limits on the Old Mahabalipuram Road at Thorapakkam, Chennai 600096. It is well connected by road and our college also supplements the transport needs of our students and staff by running a fleet of college buses. The college is situated in a quiet, pollution free ambience best suited for technical education.
