Mohan Lal Institute of Education has its roots under the New Gobind Public Welfare Society(Regd.) Amritsar. The society has started an education college under the name of Mohan Lal Memorial Institute of Education, Batala Road, Amritsar. The manaement has also been running regular G.N.M. (Female Staff Nurses) 3 years course & M.P.H.W. (Female) one & half year course B.Sc. (Nursing) four year course which is conducted by Punjab Nursing Registration Council Mohali. In future, management has planning to open B.P.T. Course & M.L.P. Course.
The main object of this College is to provide trained and dedicated teachers to the society. At present college has 100 B.Ed. seats.The procedure for B.Ed. admission shall be open to only those graduates and post graduates of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar/other recognised
universities who had been admitted to B.Ed. course strictly on the basis of their relative merit in Pre-B.Ed. Entrance test conducted by Punjab University Chandigarh or any other University on behalf of the Punjab Government. The college has lush green lawns, spacious play grounds, separate hostel facility, deluxe buses for transport, well stocked library with latest books on all subjects, latest multimedia computers, audio visual aids. The college has well qualified faculty for imparting quality education to the students.
