OKIMR was established in 1995 by Om Kothari Foundation is ranked among the top ten B' School in the state of Rajasthan .The foundation of the institute was laid by Dr. T. C. Kothari, Chairman of Om Kothari Group of Industries, a business group worth 600 crores. The initial impetus to set up the institute came from the founder's social consciousness and inner urge to spread management education in Hadoti region and thereby serves the larger society. The Institute is affiliated to University of Kota , Kota and is recognized by All India Council of Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.), Government of India, New Delhi.
