Guru Ganapathiyappa founded the Pandanallur Bharatanatya Academy in 1975 in Coimbatore. The classes were initially conducted at Sai Baba Colony. Later, the classes moved to Ramanathapuram. Then, for the past twenty years, the classes were taught at Peelamedu before moving to the current location at Jaganatha Nagar at Peelamedu in Coimbatore.
