Mahatma Education Society's Pillais' College of Architecture (PiCA) was established in 1992. The college, housed in the MES Educational College Complex of 1.25 lakh sq. ft., is located on a sprawling lot of 7 acres in Sector 16, New Panvel, Navi Mumbai. This state of the art building has been designed by the PiCA Cell: the consultancy division of the college. The unique feature in the development of the college campus is the active involvement of both the faculty and the student of the college. The complex nestles among mango orchards and has the Ghadi river flowing along one of its boundaries. Learning takes place in sylvan settings and the soothing backdrop of nature. All the design studios that are large and spacious have a three sided view of this natural setting.
The college has a well-stocked library of over 2500 books on architecture and allied subjects by Indian and International authors. Many national and international journals on architecture are subscribed to. The Library is currently developing a collection of Architectural CD-ROMs
