Amidst the roaring hometown support, the students of the local Government Polytechnic College lifted the overall trophy in the three-day seventh
inter-polytechnic youth festival, which concluded here on Saturday.
The �champion� college scored 35 points, while the Punjab Institute of Textile Technology, Amritsar, succeeded in getting the second position with 21 points and Mehar Chand Polytechnic, Jalandhar, stood third with 18 points.

Mr Pritpal Singh of the Punjab Institute of Textile Technology, Amritsar, got first position in the mono acting competition on the second day of seventh inter-polytechnic youth festival being held at the local Government Polytechnic College. While both, Sarbjit Singh of Lord Krishna Polytechnic, Kapurthala, and Gurpreet Singh of Government Polytechnic, Guru Teg Bahadurgarh, got the second position.

Awareness camp for entrepreneurs
As many as 80 students of textile technology participated in a two-day entrepreneurial awareness camp conducted by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development at the Punjab Institute of Textile Technology here today.
Dr Satish Verma, Director of the Centre for Distance Education, GNDU, and Mr A. Haq District Manager, Punjab Financial Corporation, were the guests of honour.
