Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology (RAIT) was established in 1983 to promote professional education in Electronics and Computer Engineering. Over the last decade it has emerged as a premier educational institution with several pioneering educational innovations.
The college is housed in a spacious building occupying nearly 1,20,000 square feet area. RAIT is the only college in Navi Mumbai that has been categorized Grade 'A' by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), a statutory body of the Government of India.
RAIT is also approved by the Government of Maharashtra and is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The institute has received an affiliation for 5 years, from 1994 to 1999 by the University of Mumbai. This is noteworthy as the University normally reviews an affiliation every one or three years.
RAIT is the western Regional Center for distance learning programs in the fields of Electronics and Control, Software Systems and Systems & Information of BITS Pilani.
