Sivanath Sastri College is an outcome of the great educational movement of the late nineteenth century, led by the Sadharan Brahmo Samaj. This movement, in the shape of an Under-Graduate college under the University of Calcutta aimed at the liberation of the human mind. Sivanath Sastri College has been awarded a B+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
