here are 102 members on the teaching staff and 64 members on the non-teaching staff. The student strength is around 2,400. Many of the students have won top ranks in University Examinations at Pre-Degree, Degree and Post-graduate levels. They have also secured prizes in various Inter-collegiate Quiz Competitions, University Arts Festivals and Inter-Collegiate Sports Meets and tournaments. Many of the N.C.C. Cadets of the college have won prizes and awards at State and National levels.
The N.S.S and Population Education Programme Units were selected as the best in the University several times. Forestry Club, Women's Study Unit, Quiz Club, Science Forum, Kerala Kavya Kala Sahithi, Parent Teacher Association, Tutorial System and various associations are functioning very well in this college. Many of the teachers have served in the various academic and administrative bodies of the University. A number of scholarships have been instituted in the college to encourage the deserving students.
