The college is run by Shree Warana Vibhag Shikshan Mandal, Warananagar in 1983. The college is recognised by Govt. of Maharashtra and approved by All India Council of Technical Education(AICTE), New Delhi. The college ia also accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi and awarded 'A' grade by Govt. of Maharashtra. TKIET spreads over a sprawling 30 acres, surrounded by lush green picturesque landscape. It is 30 Kms to North West of Kolhapur city.
