With the establishment of the Vidyavardhani's Bhausaheb Vartak Polytechnic in the year 1984 , a long felt need for technical education in the Vasai - Virar region was fulfilled. The Polytechnic is affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board Of Technical Education (MSBTE) and offers diploma courses in engineering, Approved by the all India council of Technical Education, New Delhi (vide letter No.F..740-89-135 (E) / RC/94 date April 5,1995). Very soon, the Polytechnic will also apply for accreditation. The Polytechnic is situated in the sprawling campus of Vidayavardhani a stone's throw away from Vasai Road Railway Station and is equipped with all infrastructure needed for the various diploma courses it offers .
