Xavier Institute of Development Action and Studies (XIDAS), Jabalpur, is owned and managed by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), a religious organization that is internationally acclaimed as one of the outstanding educationists of the Catholic Church. More specifically, XIDAS is owned and managed by the Madhya Pradesh Province of the Society of Jesus and the Jesuit Provincial of Madhya Pradesh, Fr. Amritlal Toppo SJ, is the ex officio President of XIDAS. XIDAS is a charitable, Christian minority educational Institution (as per the Constitution of India) and also a social and developmental organization, owned by the Madhya Pradesh Province of the Society of Jesus. The services, benefits, facilities and resources of this Institute are available to the members of the Christian community and to all persons, irrespective of caste, creed, race or sex. XIDAS is a member of the International Association of Jesuit Business Schools, a member of the Xavier Institute of Management Institutes (XAMI) and a member of Voluntary Action Network India (VANI).
