In November 1999, Zenith became a wholly owned subsidiary of LGE. 2000 marked a new beginning for Zenith as the company began to reposition its famous brand and build on its technology and distribution strengths and those of its parent company. In 2001, Zenith launched its first major national advertising campaign in 15 years and a new marketing theme: "Digitize the Experience." The dramatically different advertising campaign spotlighted Zenith's state-of-the-art digital technology, appealing to a young, affluent audience of trend initiators.
