The Post Graduate Department of Law was stared in 1976. This Department is first in India in introducing the research methodology paper at PG level and UGC Curriculum Development Centre Syllabus at both P.G. and U.G. levels. Chief Justice of India and President of International Court of Justice and Academicians like Prof. Peter Sack, Australia, Honourable Justice Sri Nagendra Singh, Justice V.R.Krishna Iyer, Justice Chandrachud, Justice P.B.Bhagwati, Justice K.S.Hegde, Justice Jaganmohan Reddy, Justice K.Jayachandra Reddy, Dr.Upendra Baxi, Prof.G.C.V.Subba Rao, Prof.G.Ram Reddy and Prof. N.R.Madhava Menon have visited the Department. The Department has completed two projects and has 150 publications including books and research articles. So far the Department has produced 16 Ph.Ds. and currently 15 research scholars are working for research. Ten conferences/seminars/workshops have been organized by the Department.
