Prepares control programs that manipulate input-output routines and equipment, such as teleprocessing terminals, modems, disk drives and printers; installs, maintains, modifies and tunes IBM systems software and IBM and third party systems program products in one or more of the following major functional areas: MVS/JES2, IDMS/Xerox 8700, CICS/SNA products, or program products (ACF2, ASM2, UCCI, KOMAND); interfaces with computer operations, applications programmers, systems analysts and vendor personnel in resolving technical problems and on special projects; and participates in planning, evaluating and scheduling of new and revised systems programs, procedures and equipment.
