The job primarily involves verification of a product against customer requirements/ product definition document. It is primarily black box testing and sometimes grey box testing depending on the requirements. Specific activities include requirement analysis, test plan creation, test plan automation using Labview, execution, report generation and problem reporting & resolution. Other activities include standard work procedures like maintaining requirement traceability, conducting peer reviews, configuration management, participation in teleconferences, trainings etc. Optionally, the job also involves participation in process improvement discussions, bench design & set up, library development activities, tool development etc. Test execution may be automated OR manual. Automated tests use simulators/ debuggers that have scripting capabilities
