Tech Architect work is
The RBS GBM IS&C Application Development Team develops and maintains a suite of infrastructure applications for GBM.
The applications are web based that use .Net as the technology framework. Some of the applications also use BMC Remedy with a backend Sybase database server.
Technology team is spread geographically across London and Gurgaon. The IDC based team works during IST hours only. Weekend support on a rota basis (monthly).
The Team Lead is expected to understand business requirements by interfacing with Business Analysts based in London and translate them into elegant technological solutions. He/She should have very strong technical skills, be able to architect small to mid sized systems, and actively code critical modules in the project. Additionally the team lead should help the PM in effort estimation, creating project plan and tracking project status. The team lead should be able to mentor and develop the technical skills of other Remedy developers in his/her team.
The Team Lead will also have line management responsibility for 4 to 5 Remedy developers and will report into the IDC Development Manager.
