JOB PROFILE OF REGIONAL SALES MANAGER WHILE DEVELOPING THE DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL
- That the Regional Manager is responsible for the particular regions and a division. He is to look after the administration, sales, product promotion, route planning, division of geographical area, reports of subordinate staff, stock availability and stock information at various levels, ensuring the smooth payment schedule from the entire distribution channel from retailing end to company, by and large.
- That the Regional Manager is responsible for the recruitment of his subordinate staff i.e. Sales Officers. Each of the RSM has to appoint 5 Sales Officers who should have atleast experience of 3 years of retailing and distributor identifying and shortlisting.
- That the Regional Manager has to ensure that each of his Sales Officers is meeting the no. of parties as prescribed by the company i.e. 4 parties a day.
- That the Regional Manager has to ensure that the Party Visit Information and the report is properly filled in by the Sales Officer and the same would be signed and stamped by the party visited.
- That the Regional Manager is also required to train his subordinate staff that how to prospecting the party.
- That the Regional Manager is required to visit the shortlisted party and discuss the company details, product, project details, financial projection, projected turnover of party in our project, Return on Investment. The investment plan has to be the last chapter of the discussion.
- (a) At the stage of launching:
� Making permanent journey plan;
� Fixing the number of days of your working with the particular distributor;
� Selection of a PSR with the help of Sales Officer;
� Training of PSR with the help of Sales Officer;
� Identifying the location for a wall painting and other various advertisement and publicity activity;
� Identifying the location for inshop display with the help of Sales Oficer;
� Getting the product launched;
� Ensure the push off to each and every product details wise;
� Informing the General Manager about the product investment, ratio, speed and an average;
� Future forecast of the product demand and supply;
� Ensure that all the relevant reports of his subordinate staff to reach the H.O. well in time;
� Getting expense statement made and verify of his subordinate staff.
