This the camera I'm using most right now. It has about the same features as the TL except for an LED exposure meter readout instead of a match needle. The shutter is a curtain type and goes to 1/500 second. There is no mirror lockup on this model.
On my TL-E the underexposure LED is burnt out but I've been using it successfully by setting it to overexpose then backing down a stop. The self-timer works but doesn't trigger the shutter at the end. My girlfriend's been using my TL Electro-X for photo courses so I was glad to pick up this body for $25 on the Parts Camera page at Pacific Rim. A good f/1.4 lens came with the Electro AX I bought from them so I've gotten a mostly good camera plus a dead body for my $50. It's in about the condition I expected from their ad and I'm pleased with the purchase. Most of the color photos in this site were taken with it, the rest with the TL Electro-X.
