ITemployment mkt improves by 23 pc
CV Screen, ITrecruitment agency reports a 23 percent increase in the demand for ITprofessionals in the 3rd quarter of 2009.
Duringthe same period CV Screen also saw a 25 percent decline in the numberof applicants per vacancy. On average CV Screen received 68applications per role in September, down from the heights of 109 seenin May.
Geeks find new wayto beat recession
Commentingon the findings CV Screen's Matthew Iveson commented, "Webelieve that the IT Jobs market is over the worst with an encouragingincrease in the number of roles registered in quarter 3."
Whenasked about what changes are taking place in the employment market,Iveson commented "We are now seeing confidence returning to theIT jobs market. Many IT professionals who had put their careeraspirations on hold due to the economic climate are now beginning totest the water."
Recession is anopportunity: Microsoft
Ivesonadded "With unemployment rising and the economic climate bleak,many IT professionals sensibly decided to remain with their currentemployers until the market improved. There are early signs that thesecandidates are beginning to seek new opportunities where bettertraining, salaries and long term career opportunities are on offer."
Inconclusion Iveson commented "With confidence gradually returningto the industry, we fully expect that by early next year the IT Jobsmarket will be returning to pre credit crunch levels."
