CIO work is
Understand client /project requirements and participate in designing and implementing appropriate quality measures
Ensure compliance with the information security management (ISO27001) and ISO quality framework
Conduct and coordinate ISO27001, ISO9001 and other audits, report findings and implement actions to address non-conformances.
Evaluate and implement relevant and effective mechanisms (Six Sigma, Kaizen etc) to assist and aid in this process.
